It’s about love…[Take-56]
[Take-55][Beginning of the story]
Venturesome
Nikita told me that a family was visiting her’s that day, to “see” her. Suddenly I felt nothing is more urgent than meeting her. I felt she also wanted to meet me. She did not resist me from doing what was seeming more than an adventure. The dreams that you see day-in and day-out give you a lot of courage to bring them to reality. I reminisced my college days when one of my friend drove me all the way to a small nearby town just because his love interest stayed there. I missed no opportunity to make fun of him, until he got married, last month, to someone else. And just to humble me, God the almighty has put that same friend in Indore. And I was going ask him for his bike so that I can ride all the way to Bhopal and meet her. See how the tessellated pieces of puzzle join up.
I quickly planned the whole thing out, cousin’s promised to take care of the real work, and wait for me, so we can get back together. Anant my friend lent me the bike without asking further questions, or making fun. He reserved that for later. I wasn’t thinking about many things. There was only one goal and that was to reach as soon as possible, meet her and come back. I did not even know her address, but I had to trust on a lot of things, dying cellphone battery was just one of them.
After sluggishly meandering through the crazy Indore traffic, I was on a run-way. The bike was just always about to take off. I had to drive continuously over the hundred mark and keep breaking the traffic rules. Heart had comfortably positioned itself somewhere between throat and mouth and carried out it’s activities from there. Sometimes I felt that if something nasty happens here, like an accident, I will not have any answers for anybody. But then, for those who believe, no star is too high. The landscape along Bhopal-Indore road is quite familiar, soothing and interesting. The dew from surrounding pastures added to the chill and Sun had no effect that winter noon. It might just be chilling out with some coke and popcorn, watching the whole drama, with his cloudy shades on. I realized that there was only one song getting repeated in my ipod playlist - “In dino dil mera mujhse hai keh raha…”(Life in a Metro) If you haven’t heard the song… here’s how I could translate …
These days my heart sings to me,
you too can weave dreams,
you too can live dreams…
You too have a right …
To love at first sight…
I neither had time nor mood to change the playlist.
