[Take-35][Beginning of the story]

The lull

I had an unaccepted anger (An anger that I still don’t accept was present) from her irrational behavior. Carnegie has taught me that people are illogical, unreasonable and self centered. Everyone. Includes me. And that they deserve a second and a third chance. So I decided to keep the incident out of mind and start all over again. However I contained myself from texting or calling her for next two days, though my heart badly craved to do it. But I didn’t call and neither did she. I like it when in the battle of heart and mind the mind wins.

The next time we met in office she was wearing a baby pink salwar suit. And was looking stunning. Gosh! these indian dresses, can really steal your heart away. I so wanted to talk to her again. And I did. Everything seemed to be back on track. We picked up from where we had left last time in office. The entire Matheran saga seemed to have been lost somewhere in the memories of past and exigencies of present.

I had found a new love. That was the technology I was working in. It was a new opportunity and something of the sort I had been looking for. The responsibilities were immense and that’s what I love. So I had almost taken a vacation from my social life and deluged my days and nights in work at office. Our relation wasn’t at a stage where it could get hurt by my being busy. And the other relations in my life were strong enough to test such tides. I rarely leave loose ends. My breakfast and lunch continued to be with Anja, Mota and Pooh. Ati and I occasionally met for tea. Sometimes when she needed something from me and sometimes when she stayed late and office canteens were sparsely populated.  The lull continued for quite a while, until one day we accidently met in the office porch and she told me that she’d be leaving to US for her sponsored diploma in New York in a week.
